·Brief Introduction
MENGSHI medium temperature alpha-amylase is a bacterial amylase preparation derived from Bacillus licheniformis extract.
·Function and Character
MENGSHImedium temperature alpha-amylase can hydrolyze α*1,4 glycosidic bond of the starch. Starch molecule is randomly hydrolyzed into short dextrin chain in different length and small amount of low molecular weight sugars. Both amylose and amplopectin can be randomly hydrolyzed, resulting in the rapid decrease of the viscosity of starch solution. During the process, the starch is to be liquefied, so the medium temperature α-amylase is also called liquefying enzyme.

MENGSHI medium temperature alpha-amylase is brown liquid.
