Kor-Add ***5 General Characteristics
Foundry Sand Additives are used as binders in sand to develop sufficient strength for handling, assembly, casting, and shake out. These special sand additives add dry strength, improve surface finish to the core and prevent casting defects such as "veining" and "pinholes."
Kor-Add ***5 is a dry blend of specially selected organic materials specifically designed as an additive to CO2 sand mixes. Kor-Add reduces casting defects in foundries using the C*2 sand molding process.
