Properties:Cupric  carbonate, basic is also called copper (II) carbonate hydroxide. It is a peacock-green minor amorphous powder. Specific gravity is 3.85. Cupric carbonate is not soluble in cold water or alcohol. It is soluble in acids, cyanide, ammonium liquid or sodium alkali and ammonia salts. Solubility in water is 0.0008%. The decomposition temperature is 200-220 CCupric carbonate is low toxic.

Usage:Cupric carbonate is used to prepare cupric compounds in inorganic chemical industry, used as catalyst in organic chemical industry and as additive in ormolu galvanization industry. Cupric carbonate is also used to make fireworks, paint, pesticide, antidote for phosphorous toxicity, fungicide for seeds, additive for feeds and desulfate for raw oil storage.

Packing:Cupric carbonate is sealed in a polyethylene container. The net weight is 1000kg per package.

Transportation and storage precautions:Cupric carbonate should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated storage room. Keep container tightly closed and vertically placed on a tray. The polyethylene container must be fastened with adhesive plaster to prevent cupric carbonate being humidified and agglomerated. Cupric carbonate must not be stored or transported together with strong acids or alkalis.
