Heavy Polyamine X (HPA X) is commonly used in the manufacture of lube oil additives and fuel additives, corrosion inhibitors and epoxy curing agents. It is a complex mixture of linear, branched, and cyclic ethyleneamines, the structures of which can be deduced from the chemistry of manufacture and knowledge of the structures present in TETA and TEPA. The structures of the principle components contain six or more nitrogen atoms per molecule. Its molecular weight is **5.
