Description
Exothermic welding is a simple, high efficiency and high
quality method of metal connecting.
Lihe exothermic welding uses high temperature reaction of
powdered copper oxide and aluminum. The chemical equation is
2Cu2O*2Al=6Cu+Al2O3 ( the temperature can be in excess of ***0℃.)
It is a method of welding copper, iron, steel and ferroalloy
without outside power.
In order to weld different sizes conductor, a graphite mold is
needed. It is only to put the conductor need welding in the mold,
dump powder into the mold, ignite the starting powder, than the
reaction takes place. Open the mold when it is cold, thus the
conductor connection is finished. We supply different connections
and the matched mold and welding powder.
Characteristics
Good current loading ability
The welding point current loading ability is the same as
conductor.

Making a exothermic welding connection
1. Make
sure the mold is dry, by pre-heating, put the cleaned conductors in
mold.
2. Place
metal disc in bottom of mold crucible and close the mold.
3. Dump
welding powder into crucible, and place starting powder in the
ignition pocket.
4. Close
lid, ignite the starting powder with the flint gun.
5. Reaction
takes place in the graphite mold.
6. Open
the lid when it is cold. The welding connection is done.
Notice
First, develop the correct mold according the conductor and
the connection way, also provide the matched welding powder.
Second, before welding, clean the conductor. Third, pre-heating
mold. Forth, in the welding operation scene, no inflammable
articles within 2 meters distance. Fifth, the operator must wear
gloves. Sixth, clean mold after welding finishing, for next
connection. Seventh, molds should last for ****0 welds if proper
care is given.
