PVDF PALL RING is a specialty plastic material
in the fluoropolymer family; it is used generally in applications
requiring the highest purity, strength, and resistance to solvents,
acids, bases and heat and low smoke generation during a fire event.
Compared to other fluoropolymers, it has an easier melt process
because of its relatively low melting point of around
It has a low density (1.*8) and low cost compared to the other
fluoropolymers. It is available as piping products, sheet, tubing,
films, plate and an insulator for premium wire. It can be injected,
molded or welded and is commonly used in the chemical,
semiconductor, medical and defense industries, as well as in
lithium ion batteries.T.C.I Pall ring is Similar to:
glitsch, koch glitsch, lanpac and sulzer Pall ring

PVDF is used for specialty fishing lines sold as fluorocarbon as
replacement for nylon filament where it has several advantages.
Optical density is lower which makes the line less easily
discernable. The surface is harder so it is more resistant to sharp
fish teeth and wear. Furthermore PVDF doesn't take up water and it
is resistant to UV-light. It is also more dense than nylon, which
makes it sink faster as it will not float on the water surface.
PVDF is also commonly used as insulation on some kinds of
electrical wires, thanks to its combination of flexibility, light
weight, and good resistance to chemicals, heat and fire. In this
use the wire is generally referred to as "Kynar wire", from the
trade name. Most of the narrow **-gauge wire used in wire wrap
circuit assembly is PVDF-insulated.
In the biomedical sciences PVDF is used in immunobloting as a
membrane (usually 0.*2 or 0.*5 micron thick) on which proteins are
transferred using electricity. (see western blotting). PVDF is
resistant to solvents and therefore these membranes can be easily
stripped and reprobed to look at other proteins making it very
convenient.
Piezoelectric panels made of PVDF are used on Venetia Burney
Student Dust Counter, a scientific instrument of the New Horizons
space probe that measures dust density in outer solar system.
PVDF is used in tactile sensor arrays and in the manufacturing of
artificial membranes.
