It is dissolved in hot water, alcohol and ether but not in water, and can be decomposed into stearic acid and corresponding salt by strong acid. It has water absorbability in air. 3. Characteristics: Paint grade zinc stearate is super-fine powder with characteristics of good transparancy, dispersibility and heat stability, easy polish, quick drying and easy defoaming. 4.
