AKTERM consists of high quality acrylic binder, ceramic thin-walled microspheres with expanded air. The material also contains special additives, which prevent formation of fungi in conditions of high humidity on the concrete surfaces; make the material light, flexible, expandable, with excellent adhesion to coated surfaces. In terms of consistence and properties, AKTERM is an ordinary paint of white colour, which can be applied on any surface using roller, brush or sprayer. Consumption rate for exterior painting is 1 litre per 1 m2 .  

After drying, elastic heat insulating coating is formed, this has unique heat insulating properties comparing to conventional insulates.  For instance, the layer of 1mm of heat insulating paint replaces 5 cm of rockwool insulant. The uniqueness of insulating properties is a result of intensive molecular action of expanded air,  located in hollow spheres. The service life of heat insulation under normal operation is *0 years minimum.

Purpose and application area.

AKTERM heat insulating paint is designed for production of coatings on concrete, brick, plastic, metal and wooden surfaces of any shape, has heat insulating properties.

It can be used:

• for heat insulation of steam and hot water pipes, water heating equipment of boiler rooms;

• for reduction of heat losses during capital construction and during reconstruction of public and industrial buildings;

• for protection of the walls of residential premises from frost penetration, UV radiation;

• for reduction of cost for cooling and prevention of overheating of refrigerators and freezers;

• for prevention of corrosion and condensate formation on the surface of steel profiled structures.

Advantages

Application

AKTERM heat insulating paint should be applied with a brush, roller or sprayer (air and airless). Thickness of one process layer is not more than 0.4 mm. Consumption rate for one-layer coating is 1 litre per 1m2. Labour intensity is comparable to the labour intensity of painting.
