(DERUSTING SOLUTION)

PRODUCT

           We have pleasure in offering our customers a very effective product for removing mill scale and rust, besides removing thin films of oil and grease. The product SCALEGUN-S is formulated using Phosphoric Acids.

SCALE GUN-S removes thin films of oil / grease from steel surfaces. Removes mill scale, rust and welding scales.

1.     SCALE GUN –S will not eliminate any corrosive fumes and not pollute the atmosphere.

2.     SCALE GUN –S will not affects base metal of the product.

4.     If your surfaces have only thin films of / grease, you will find it advisable to

switch over to SCALEGUN-S which will perform both the functions of

degreasing and derusting thereby REDUCING ONE OPERATION, TWO

TANKS, AND SPACE.

Concentration                          : *5 liters for every **0 ltrs of working volume. (The

 exact amount of water to be added to Scale gun-S

 should be arrived at by the Customer by experimentery

 as a small scale)

Free acidity points                   : *8 – *2 points

Iron content tolerated               : Below 1.5%

Operating Temperature : Ambient

Duration of dip                        : Generally about *0 minutes (Naturally the duration of

 dip for removing loosely adhering rust and scale will

 be less than that taken to remove heavier types of

 scale rust etc.)

b)  BATH MAKE-UP

Add 3 parts of water to one part ofSCALEGUN-S and use it at room temperature

MAINTENANCE:

1)     For efficient functioning, the bath solution should be monitored for Free Acidity and Iron content of derusting bath solution.

2)     The Free Acidity and Iron content should be maintained in the recommended level.

3)     If the bath solution is maintained as recommended, you will get INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY.

4)     When the bath is “at least”. Some oil will float at the top of the bath solution; first thing in the beginning of the morning shift, and at the time of starting work after lunch, skim off as much of the floating oil as possible to prevent it from adhering to the work pieces when they are being taken off theSCALEGUN – S bath.

5)     Two rinses after this degreasing / derusting will reduce chances of residualSCALEGUN – S contaminating the Phosphating chemicals substantially, thus resulting in considerable economy of consumption of Phosphating chemicals.

6)     The recommended free acid value range forSCALEGUN-S is *8 to *2. Do not allow the point age to come much below *8; at short intervals, depending upon the volume of work processed, keep testing for chemical balance and keep replenishing. Do not

Starve the bath and, at one time, add a large of volume of SCALEGUN-S to restore strength.

REPLINISHMENT:

           The point age should be in the range of *8 to *2. If the point age is less than *8, bring it to *2 by addingSCALEGUN-S chemical at the rate of *2 liters for every point age for ***0 liters volume.

FOLLOWING POINTS TO BE KEPT TO DISCARD THE TANK SOLUTION

1)                 Heavy oil and heavy rust particles will contaminate the bath solution and the solution becomes oily syrup and that solution should discard and make a fresh bath solution.

2)                 When the iron content reaches 1.5% even if the free acid is in the recommended level, bath will not function satisfactorily, the bath solution should be discarded a freshScalegun-S bath should be make up.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:

SCALEGUN – S chemical is corrosive. Do not take internally. Wear a face mask and rubber gloves when handling this chemical.  In case of accidental contact with skin or clothing was immediately with large quantities of water. For eyes, flush freely with water and obtain medical attention at once. In case of spillage, flush with plenty of water.
