Polypropylene is an economical material that offers a combination
of outstanding physical, mechanical, thermal, and electrical
properties not found in any other thermoplastic. Noted for its
excellent chemical resistance in corrosive environments,
polypropylene provides excellent resistance to organic solvents,
degreasing agents and electrolytic attack. It is light in weight,
resistant to staining, and has a low moisture absorption rate.
Polypropylene Fire Resistant have various UL ratings. They are more
expensive and, because of the addition of the flame retardant
fillers, they have lower physical properties and fabricating
qualities. Flame retardant clad polypropylene has two outside skin
sheets of Polypropylene Fire Resistant that are coextruded onto a
center core of polypropylene. This provides a composite material
that is tough and with flame retardant exterior surfaces.

Polypropylene (PP), as one of the main plastics, has good
electrical properties and high-frequency insulation. It is not
affected by humidity, but becomes brittle at low temperature. It is
not wear-resistant and easy to aging. It is suitable for making
general mechanical parts, corrosion-resistant parts and insulating

Polypropylene is a kind of thermoplastic synthetic resin with

fire-resistant qualities of any competitive FRP material. This

Characteristics of PP Flame Retardant Particles
1. The density of PP material is relatively small (0.*1g / cm ^ 3).
In fact, it has the lowest density among commonly used
plastics.
2. PP material has very good stress cracking resistance and high
bending fatigue life.
3. Good heat resistance. PP products can be used in high
temperature environment below **0 ℃ for a long time. It will not

4. Good chemical stability. PP has excellent chemical stability and
is inert to most acids, bases, salts and oxidants. In addition, PP

5. Processing performance. Once a certain temperature is reached,

molten state within a few degrees. The melt viscosity of PP is
relatively low, so the molding fluidity is good, especially when
the melt flow rate is high, the melt viscosity is smaller, which is
suitable for injection molding of large thin-walled products.

In the automotive sector PP is utilised as a monomaterial solution

increasingly achievable, PP film cushioning, film skins, and powder
slush moulding and even blow moulded parts with integral PP textile
covers are emerging.
Bumpers, cladding, and exterior trim are also available
manufactured from polypropylene. Polypropylene developed for such
applications provides low coefficient of linear thermal expansion
and specific gravity, high chemical resistance and good
weatherability, processability and impact/stiffness balance.
Improvements with colour-at-the-press and pre-coloured PP have also
reduced or eliminated the need for painting in some
applications.
