Injection Grade PP Plastic Particles
PP Injection Grade
Â
Polypropylene (PP) is the largest volume commodity thermoplastic in
the world, greater than low-density, linear low-density, and
high-density polyethylene individually but less than the three
polyethylenes combined. Most commercial polypropylene is isotactic
with an intermediate level of crystallinity. Isotactic
polypropylene (i-PP) has high impact resistance, flexibility, and
optical clarity and is relatively easy to mold. It competes in many
areas with HDPE. It has a higher melting point, better or
comparable tensile strength, superior stress crack and temperature
resistance but lower impact resistance and is more rigid. It is
often the better choice for more demanding applications, unless a
higher resistance against thermo-oxidative degradation is
required.
The packaging industry is by far the largest consumer of i-PP
followed by the textile and automotive industry. Because of its low
price, ease of processing, chemically inertness, and many other
attractive properties, it has replaced metals, glass, wood,
cellophane, and paper in countless applications. Products made of
i-PP include disposable cups and cutlery, drinking straws, bottle
caps, flexible food packaging, garbage bags, houseware articles
(buckets and bowls), crates, tapes, labels, toys, drainage pipes,
pump parts, automotive bumpers, chemical tanks, gas cans, medical
components, carpet fibers, and nonwovens for diapers, sanitary
products, and filters among countless other products.
Â
Details Of PP Injection Grade:
PP Injection Grade particles refer to polypropylene, which is a
colorless, odorless, non-toxic and translucent solid substance.
Polypropylene is a kind of thermoplastic synthetic resin with
excellent performance. It is a colorless and translucent
thermoplastic lightweight general-purpose plastic.Polypropylene
(PP), as one of the main plastics, has good electrical properties
and high-frequency insulation. It is not affected by humidity, but
becomes brittle at low temperature. It is not wear-resistant and
easy to aging. It is suitable for making general mechanical parts,
corrosion-resistant parts and insulating parts.
Extended data:
Characteristics of PP plastics
Chemical Resistance: PP Plastic does not readily react with dilute
bases and acids, which makes it ideal to manufacture containers of
cleaning agents, first-aid products, and more. Â
Elasticity and Toughness: PP plastic acts with elasticity over a
certain range of deflection but it also experiences plastic
deformation early in the deformation which is why it is generally
considered a tough material in the manufacturing
industry.Â
Fatigue Resistance: Polypropylene plastic is fatigue-resistant as
it tends to retain its shape even, after intense torsions and
flexings.
Insulation: PP is very useful for manufacturing electrical
components as it has a very high resistance to electricity. It is
thus, a very popular plastic for manufacturing in the electrical
industry.Â
Transmissivity: Polypropylene plastic can be made transparent or
opaque thus, it can be used for various applications. These
applications can range from manufacturing products of different
aesthetic values to where the transmissivity of light needs to be
controlled. Â
Â
Advantages of PP Injection Grade
Injection Grade PP Plastic Particle is a relatively inexpensive
material
Its semi-crystalline in nature which is why it has high flexural
strength.Â
Its resistant to moisture, has a low coefficient of friction,
possesses good fatigue resistance and has a great impact
strength. Â
Injection Grade PP Plastic Particles exhibit good resistance to
chemicals and electricity.Â
Its easily repaired from damage
Â
Applications of PP Injection Grade
Â
Injection Grade PP Plastic Particles has the advantages of
excellent comprehensive properties, good chemical stability, good
shape processing performance and relatively low cost.PP can adapt
to a wider range of application requirements through modifying,
copolymerization, grafting,blending, reinforced filling,
transparency, filling, weather resistance.Mainly used for pipes,
thermoforming, film, fiber, non-woven, blow molding, injection
molding, etc. Pipes such as sewer pipes, pressure pipes, cold and
hot water pipes, etc. Thermoforming is used for tapes, woven bags,
high-impact materials, etc. Films are used for uniaxially stretched
and biaxially stretched films. Fibers are used for carpet yarns and
so on. Injection molding and blow molding are used for household
utensils, toys, food boxes, etc.
Food Industry
PP Injection Grade in its flexible packaging is transparent and is
commonly applied to be used as plastic containers. Rigid packaging
is thicker and opaque. It is commonly used in the food industry to
create various types of consumer products such as plates, cups,
bottles, pots, etc.Â
Medical Supplies
PP Injection Grade can be applied to various medical applications.
PP is generally resistant to strong chemicals and steam
sterilization which makes it ideal for manufacturing medical
supplies. It is often used to create petri-dishes, syringes,
specimen bottles, pans, vials, and pill dispensers. For insights in
this industry, take a look at our medical device industry page.
Automotive Parts
Polypropylene plastic is affordable and easy to mold, and is thus,
very popularly used to manufacture plastic parts for the automotive
industry. These automotive parts can range from car battery cases,
dashboards, and instrument panels to door trims, and more. Another
common material for automotive parts, is the heat resistant POM
(Polyoxymethylene).Polypropylene plastic is affordable and easy to

Consumer Goods
Polypropylene is very popularly used for the production of consumer
products. Since PP plastic is durable and resistant to high
temperatures, its an ideal material for kitchen and home appliances
such as washing machines and coffee makers. Apart from home and
kitchen appliances, PP plastic can also be used to manufacture
toys, furniture, carpets, and mats, to other consumer products. PP
products from the consumer industry are the easiest do recognize in
your daily life.
