It is a chemically modified starch designed to impart enhanced
functional properties including adhesion/binding, water retention,
rheology and viscosity and to allow it to function properly under
conditions frequently encountered during processing and storage,
such as high heat, high shear and low pH. It comes in a variety of
viscosities to meet the needs of diverse applications and end user
requirements.ÂÂ
It can be tailor made to meet the requirements of the end users by
changing reaction condition (Temp, pH, additives) and strict
process control.ÂÂ
Applications / Advantages:
1)   VISCO modified starch is extensively used
as printing thickener in textile industry.
2)   Modified starch is used in frozen products
to prevent them from dripping when defrosted.
3)   It is used for sack lamination in paper
industry and as binding agent in foundry.
4)   It is also used as basic material for the
production of other chemicals.
