Lanolin Fatty Acids bleached is a product of the alkaline hydrolysis of wool grease. The fatty acid mixture contains a complex mixture of straight, branched and hydroxy acids which carbon chain lengths varying from C8 to C*0. It is a waxy bright yellow solid, and could disperse in isopropyl alcohol and hot petrolatum. It could used in detergent, shampoo, shaving cream and eye makeup due to its permeability to skin, antibacterial and emulsifying property, and it could used as antirusting agent and leather auxiliaries as well. Mainly used as a pre-cursor for Isopropyl Lanolate, Glyceryl Lanolate and other lanolin esters.
