Jet A*1 fuel is a kerosene-grade fuel suitable for most turbine-engine aircrafts with its strong combustion characteristics and high energy content. It has a minimum flash point of *8°C (**0.4°F) and a maximum freezing point of **7°C (**2.6°F). The quality of the Jet A*1 fuel is assured through the adoption of the Aviation Fuel Quality Requirements for Jointly Operated Systems (AFQRJOS) checklist which meets the most stringent specifications of the British Ministry of Defence Standard DEF STAN ****1 and ASTM Standard Specification D ***5.
