Field Portable Gas Chromatograph **0 (FPGC**0) is about the size of a shoebox and suitable for field use. The unit contains the injector system, separation column, heater, detector, carrier gas cylider, onboard processor and software.
Warm-up takes approximately 5 minutes and the unit can be standardized on location for more accuracy.
Output is linear with respect to concentration of target constituents with good separation.
Sample turn-around time, injection to final results, is less than 2 minutes for most light hydrocarbon mixtures. Unit may be equipped with an auto-sample sniffer and may be left in a hostile or sealed environment. Results can be stored in the unit for retrieval or sent through the internet to a command station for real-time analysis.
 All commercially made columns can be used in this system. For example, OV*1 **0 micron x *0 meter long is used for BTEX and MTBE analysis (column operating temperature range is ambient to **0º C) and P-Plot column module (column operating temperature is ambient to **0º C).
Carrier gas is contained in a refillable, built-in cylinder which will supply hydrogen, helium or nitrogen for more than 4 hours depending on type of usage.
