RVD diamond grit is the basic material of the RVD series, which is of medium hardness. It is widely used for grinding various materials, from hardest natural diamond to soft stone. This product is for resin bond system, which is equivalent to GI's CSG. RVD series description The RVD Series is a universal product family comprising four products, xxxxx RVD E, RVD S, RVD and RVD C. The full range of products makes RVD Series grits can be used for electroplating, metal, vitrified and resin bond systems. As an economic superabrasive, RVD Series is widely used in most of grinding applications RVD E This product is a treated abrasive specially used for electroplating process. The low impurity level and irregular shape make it suitable for the applications. It is an economic replacement of natural diamond. RVD S Crushed from strong monocrystals, RVD S is very suitable for metal bond tools. With higher toughness and impact resistance, it is ideal abrasive for grinding natural diamond. RVD As the basic material of the series, RVD is of medium hardness. It is widely used for grinding various material, from hardest natural diamond to soft stone. RVD C It is weakest product in the family. Compared to its brothers, RVD C contains more impurity in crystal, thus lower toughness. The product can be used for resin bond. The most important aspect to evaluate a diamond product is particle strength, especially for those used for metal bond system. The higher particle strength could get longer toolâ€™s life. Meanwhile, the shape of particles could affect the bond retention and cutting efficiency of an abrasive. For metal bond, blocky shape is preferred.
