During the complex import control regime, Metco Distributors was established in ***7 In the historical city of New Delhi. With the background of Non-Ferrous Metals, S. N. Prasad, a graduate in Mechanical Engineering started indenting activities in Copper Wirebars on behalf of LME ring dealing member, Cerro Metals (U.K.) Limited, London. As the years gone by platinum, tin ingots, Aluminium, Lead Ingots and Fluorspar were added to Metco€™s activities. At one stage Metco Distributors was the sole seller ofPlatinum and Tin Ingots to MMTC (then the sole canalizing agency). In ***1, the complex import control regime was dismantled, Raw Materials, Components, Capital Goods entered virtually free of restrictions. We then changed our activities in ***5 to the Chinese products which used to cater some important industries in India. After Some purposeful efforts we had the support of 5/6 Chinese reliable & legal suppliers of fluorspar basically used to produce hydrofluoric acid and used in steel making industries as Flux etc.
