SINOTRUK QINGDAO HEAVY INDUSTRY CO., LTD (originally named as Special Truck Company, CNHTC), headquartered in China eastern coastal open city-Qingdao, is one of the wholly -owned subsidiaries of China National Heavy Duty Truck Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred as CNHTC). CNHTC, once the cradle of Heavy Duty truck industry in China, now leads the industry. Particularly in the last eight years since restructure, CNHTC persists in reform & independent innovation as well as implementing four strategies including technology leading, high quality at low cost, regionalization, and internationalization. Thus, Leap-forward developments were realized. In ***8, sales revenues reached RMB *3 billion and sales volumes exceeded **0, **0 units, which made it to be No.1 in China and Top 5 in the world. In the context of global financial crisis in ***9, CNHTC turned crisis into opportunities, advanced despite difficulties, and continued steady growth. Since ***9, the state leaders President Hu Jintao, Chairman Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao toured CNHTC separately and commended on reforms and independent innovations. On July *5, ***9 the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation agreement between CNHTC and MAN Group marked another milestone after Hong Kong IPO in ***7, laying a solid foundation for internationalization and building overseas famous and home-irreplaceable heavy truck base. As a famous enterprise of special truck industry in China, SINOTRUK QINGDAO HEAVY INDUSTRY CO., LTDSTC constitutes the drafting committee of national standards on special trucks. In ***6, it was granted as National Vehicle Export Base and National High-Tech Enterprise. In ***9, STC brand was awarded as Famous Trademark of China by Chinese authorities.
