Honey is a juicy food produced by bees from flower nectars. Several other varieties of honey are available around us but however, the one produced by honey bee (the genus apis) is most commonly referred to, since this particular type is usually collected by beekeepers and consumed by humans. Honey produced by other bees and insects have different properties.
Honey has a long history of human consumption and is being used by different people for different purposes apart from being a sweetener. It derives its sweetness from monosaccharide fructose and glucose. It contains some chemical properties for baking and uncommon flavor that makes most people to prefer it over sugar (granulated). Honey as good as it is may not be recommended for infant and children.
