Established in ***9 by the parents of the present owner, Crepes Bertel is a leading manufacturer of crepes and galettes (buckwheat crepes), plain and filled, both fresh and frozen located just *0 km West of Mont-St-Michel.
Already working all over France with local retailer, food service and national supermarket chains with our brand or as private brand provider, the company decided it was now time to go abroad.
In ***4, the factory went thru a major growing and modernizing transformation, while earning IFS-level 6 certification last December, and is highly motivated to respond to this new challenge!
May it be for temporary festival stands, franchise shops, hotels breakfast buffet, catering industry or bakeries (using crepes for decoration or making crepe cakes, there is a wide range of opportunities, and I'm convinced that you already have numerous customers which would be interested by "ready to use" high-quality plain crepes. The burden and time needed to prepare and cook the dough from scratch would then instantly disapear!
Apart from plain crepes, Bertel also produces ready to eat filled crepes with sweet fillings (chocolate sauce, Apricot jams, Orange, Red fruits, or caramelized apples to name a few of the available recipes. Packed in micro-waveable trays, these products can be retailed without transformation in supermarkets and convenient stores. Filled crepes are also availble in bulk trays of *0 pieces for hotels/caterers.
For meals, garnished buckwheat Galettes, either in micro-wavable trays (for home consumption or convenient store retailing), or in bulk trays of *2 pieces for food service (hotels, catering, restaurants). Available recipes ranging from the most traditional such as "Chicken & Mushroom", or "Nordique" with Salmon and Chive cream.
All filled crepes and garnished galettes are available fresh with a *5 days shelf-life, or deep frozen with *4 months shelf life.
Galettes (buckwheat crepes) having the great advantage of being naturaly "gluten free", thus suitable for all alergic, or simply careful people. Similarly to plain crepes, Galettes are available plain, ready to cook with any topping, thus leaving plenty room for Chefs creativity for restaurants, catering and hotel menus. Served with a fresh vegetable salad, galettes offers a complete meal at a very reasonable cost.
As a family operated company, Bertel is also very flexible and open
to respond to specific customer request, offering the possibility
to develop private recipes only for you.
