Description

DOTP was commercially produced in the *0's. Due to the difference in structure, DOTP belongs to the group of non-orthophthalate plasticizers and is not in the list of 6 phthalates which are restricted for use in the EU and other countries. It is made of terephthalic acid and has better toxicological profile. Thus, DOTP is listed as a phthalate alternative by U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (VWA). DOTP is a safe eco-friendly biodegradable plasticizer.
