·What does CCIC stand for?
CCIC is an acronym for China Certification and Inspection (Group)
Company.
They are an independent,third party inspection and certification organization accredited by
General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of
the People\'s Republic of China (AQSIQ), Certification and Accreditation Administration
of the People\'s Republic of China (CNCA)
and China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment
(CNAS).
·What does CCIC have to do with renewable resources?
If you plan on exporting renewable resources to China,
your cargo must first pass Pre-Shipment Inspections conducted by CCIC.
The CCIC inspection is to ensure that the renewable resources you ship abides
by environmental laws and regulations of China.
·How do I get a Pre-Shipment Inspection from CCIC?
You must first be a registered exporter of renewable resources
through the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of
the People\'s Republic of China (AQSIQ).
To request inspection,submit an "Inspection Application Form" to your nearest CCIC office
at least 3 days prior to loading your commodity.
For new applicants,CCIC will request to see a copy of an Environmental Import Permit,
the permit required to import renewable resources into China.
·What happens during CCIC Inspections?
A CCIC agent will travel to your designated location to inspect the
commodity during loading.
The inspector will stay until the container is completely loaded.
If your commodity is in accordance with AQSIQ laws and regulations,
you will be issued a Certificate for Pre-Shipment Inspection of renewable resources to China.
