Filter Press overview:

Filter press can be devided into “recessed plate filter press” and “plate and frame filter press” which are used for solid – liquid separation of various sespending liquid in intermittent pressure filteration.Filter plates are pressed by pressing devices and suspending liquid is pumped into the filter chamber.Solid particles and liquid are separated through filter cloth.The products are simple in structure but good in separating results,convenient in use,and widely applicable  to  coal washing, inorganic salt , mining, alcohol, petroleum, chemical, dyestuff, metallurgy, medicine, foodstuff, textile,printing and dying, paper making ,  and sewage treatment industries.

Structure and installment

Filter press consists of frame,filter plate,pressing system (manual,mechanical and hydraulic) and electric control cabinet.

Frame consists of base,push plate,tail plate and girder and supports the pressing device and filter plates.

Filter plates are installed on girder between tail plate and push plate,with filter cloth sandwiched in them.

In operation,the pressing device (cylinder piston rod or screw) drives the push plate to press the filter plates and filter cloth between push plate and tail plate.Filter chambers are formed between pressed filter plates and materials get into the filter chambers through the feeding port in tail plates.solid particles are trapped in filter chambers form into filter cakes,while liquid is discharged out of the machine through press cake and filter cloth.

Plate - frame type filter press is the same as recessed plate filter press in structure,except the filtering part that consists of one plate,one frame and filter cloth,with chambers between plate and frame.
