Currently，blanks of about 1Kg are commonly used in the industry of tungsten and molybdenum products.However,since monofilaments are short and can not adapt to multi-die wire drawing requirements and thick wire export needs,the sales of the products are considerably limited in domestic and overseas markets,and the development of enterprises and the increase of their benefits are also restricted.Large blanks and large rolling machines require huge investment which most enterprises can not afford.So the most effective way at present is to insert one butt welder to weld materials of about 1KGinto large sample pcs of **6KG ,and good results can be obtained with less investment. Since tungsten and molybdenum are generally short during wire drawing, continuous manual feeding to the wire drawing machine is needed,and in general one person can only operate two wire drawing machine at the same time. When short materials are butted into long materials by the tungsten-molybdenum butt welder which produced by our company,one person can operate five wire drawing machines at the same time ,and thus the working efficiency and economic benefits are greatly improved.In addition , some extremely short materials can not be fed into the wire drawing machine ,or the length of drawn wires varies as a result of application of the short materials , so a number of short edges can not be used during shearing , and serious waste can be caused . When the short materials are butted to long materials to the largest extent, the waste can be reduced, and the cost can be saved.
