Description
TPO
membrane
Full name is thermoplastic
polyolefin membrane, typically based on polypropylene and EP
(ethylene-propylene) rubber polymerized together with other
components such as weathering package and pigments etc. TPO
modified polyolefin, in two-color version (white, black/ grey),
obtained by co-extrusion, which allows it to be produced in a
single layer a line with different physical-chemical properties on
two sides. It has a polyester mesh or glass fiber mesh
reinforcement which provides higher tear strength, elongation and
puncture resistance.
The layer is characterized
by an extremely high resistance to weathering, and
UV.
Advantages:
1. If double welded it
slows pressure testing to joints.
2. Exposed to
sunshine: long service life and aging
resistance
3. Easy installation and
dimensional stability: Can be wieldable under wide range of
temperature and experience minus dimensional change in thermal
treatment
4. High tensile strength
and elongation thus can accommodate movements of
substrates
5. Good flexibility under
low temperature, good adaptability to ambient temperature
difference
6.Good resistance to
puncture
7. Good plasticity:
Convenient and fast treatment of detailed parts of corners and
edges
