Description

Since the electrode must be immersed into the slag and the arc is too short, so the output voltage of the transformer is low, while the current is very high. The arc of the furnace is stable and the current fluctuation is low when heated. In order to fit the furnace changeable situation, all the refining furnace transformers are on-load voltage regulation.

Refining Furnace Transformer is one kind of the furnace transformers. Furnace transformers also includes Main Frequency Furnace Transformer, Intermediate Frequency Furnace Transformer , Salt Bath Furnace Transformer, Electroslag Furnace Transformer, Arc Furnace Transformer, Submerged Arc Furnace Transformer. Like the steelmaking arc furnace, ladle refining furnace uses the three-phase alternating-current supply, heats via the submerged arc of graphite electrode to heat up the molten steel and melt the slag and alloy. Because the object to be heated is the molten steel, the diameter of steel ladle is much smaller than arc furnace, the power rate of ladle refining furnace transformer is lower than the arc steel furnace transformer with the same tonnage.
