Progressive Exim Limited was established in ***8 by the group popularly known as Shrishrimal Group in our Chhattisgarh State. Our group was led by late Shri Nemicand Ji Shrishrimal, a man with pragmatic vision and high mettle.
The group started its activities with cultivation of Rice in the
central part of India in the state of “Chhattisgarh”.
We always had our core competence in the field of Specialty Fats.
Ours Mr M L Jain who has more than *0 years of experience in
the procurement and sales of Sal seed, Kokam & Mango is a huge
asset to the company. With a strong inclination towards research
& development and a long experience of more than *0 years, ours
Mr P C Jain has been instrumental in technological advancement in
every field of manufacturing and processing.
Vision Statement: To achieve excellence in quality production of
Exotic Fats through continuous updating of technology.
Achievement: We have developed in-house technology for producing Shea & Sal Stearin through Acetone Fractionation.
Ongoing research: Developing technology for producing Refined Ricebran Wax as a substitute of Carnauba Wax.
Activities of the companies under us are as below.
A) Progressive Exim Ltd :
Facilities:-
1. Solvent Extraction Plant having capacity of **0 MT per
day and batteries of Expellers having capacity *5 MT per day at
Bhanpuri Industrial Area, Raipur.
2. Vegetable Oil Refinery having capacity of *0 MT per day at
Urla Industrial Area, Raipur.
3. Acetone Fractionation Plant of an annualized capacity of ***0 MT at Urla Industrial Area, Raipur.
The Main activity of the company is processing of specialty fats
Viz. Sal Fat, Sal Stearin, Mango Fat, Mango Stearin, Shea Stearin
& Kokam Fat. All these products are forest produce.
Shea Nut: It grows in West African countries mainly Ghana,
Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Ivory Coast, Nigeria etc. The total crop
size of Shea Nut is
2,*0,**0 Mt out of which 2,*0,**0 Mt is consumed in confectionery
industry and the rest is consumed by the locals for cooking &
other purposes.
Sal Seed : Chhattisgarh state contributes more than *0% of the total crop size of Salseed. Second largest collection is from the state of Orrisa which produces around ****0% and the remaining *0% is being produced by states of Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. In good crop year the above states in total produces around 1,*0,**0 MT of Sal seed.
Mango seed : It comes from the forest of Orrisa, Chhattisgarh and Vidharba. In a good crop year the size of its crop varies between *8,**0 to *0,**0 MT and is collected mainly by the tribals of the corresponding states. The seed collected is then sundried by them and is manually de-shelled to obtain Mango kernels which are sold to small and medium level traders.
Kokam seed : This seed is produced in Konkan Coast of India. The Local people collect the seed which is sun dried by them after which they de-shell it. The kernel thus received is sold to the local traders. The average collection of Kokam seed is about ***0 MT per annum.
Apart from processing above specialty fats, we also process Rice bran, Sunflower & Soybean in our plant in the remaining months.
Expellers : The main raw material for our expellers is Mowrah
Seed and Cotton Seed that is available mainly in the neighboring
state of Orrisa. Cotton Cake produced is sold locally in cattle
feed and Mowrah Cake is sold mainly in West Bengal for fish pond
clearing.
