To ensure the practice is followed, the system must be reliable and
must have built in mechanism to point out delay in action.
Nurses Call Monitoring System series **0 informs the nursing staff
the sequence of call received thus minimizing any over due
call. The call register maintains sequence in which call from
different bed are received.
The first call pending is displayed with Big 2” 7 segment display.
4 other calls are displayed in the sequence of receipt. If more
then 5 calls are pending, the same can be scrolled down. Any call
attended is automatically erased and display is replaced with the
next call pending.
If any call is pending beyond set time, the number starts blinking.
it also activates a buzzer to draw attention of the nursing staff.
If call remains pending even beyond 2nd limit, rate of blinking is
intensified to bring notice of problem.

SYSTEM OVER VIEW
Series **0 consists of mainly the following sub-systems:
a) Call station Board
b) Patient Remote hand set
c) Door indicator
d) Toilet Pull Cord
e) Master Controller Hub
f) Nurses Monitor Console
Call Station Board
Each bed is provided with call station board. This is housed in
standard console. It has push switches to call and re-set the
call.
LED indications for Ready(Green), Call(Red), and Wait(Yellow) are
provided. Ready LED indicates that the system is ok and call can be
made. If there is any problem with wiring, it will not glow. This
is built in system to give instant check of any system or wiring
fault.
LED marked Call lights up when the call is made. Once the call is
made and it is registered with the controller hub, LED marked Wait
glows indicating call has reached Nurse station.
Patient Remote hand set
From call station, remote Patient Hand Set is provided so
that the patient can make call form his bed.nnn
Remote hand set has push to make call. LED indication for
Ready, Call and Wait are
provided.
Door indicator
Door indicator is installed out
side the room to indicate call pending in the room. This
facilitates nursing staff to attend on way to Nurse Station. One
Door indicator can announce pending call for
up to 8 beds in the same room. Door indicators are
available with many features like color LEDs,
hold switch
etc.
Toilet Pull Cord:
Toilet Pull Cord with Indicator &
Rope. Standard length of rope is 1.5m. This pull cord is installed
in side the toilet. Patient can use the pull cord in toilet.
Master Controller Hub:
Controller Hub is central unit
installed near Nurse Monitor Console. It is consisting of
one
Micro-processor central Controller card, one connector card for up
to *6 beds SMPS.
Wires from all beds are terminated on connector PCB. It receives
information from
each bed and signals the Console to display the
information.
Nurses Monitor Console
The call monitor console will be installed at the Nurse center.
Call received from any bed will be displayed by the respective bed
number by 3 digit 7 segment LED display. It can be mounted on wall
or table stand. The first call pending is displayed with Big 2” 7
segment display. Other 4 calls are displayed in the sequence of
receipt. If more then 5 calls are pending, the same can be scrolled
down.
Any call attended is automatically erased and display is replaced
with the next call pending.
Connections:
Two pair telephone cable will be
required to connect each bed to display board. Telephone type
socket is punched to wires from each bed. Mains supply of **0
V AC is required at Controller Hub.
Low voltage operation:
The incoming mains is converted to *2 V. D.C. in the Power Supply
section and patient is not put to danger even due to accidental
snatching of wires.
Re-set at patients bed:
To re-set, the nurse or attendant has to press a button installed
near the patient. This ensures attendance.
Compact and flexible:
The system requires very low space and is flexible to add on as the
number of beds increases. Marking on he indication board can be
custom designed for easy location and is editable.
