The Crayon Set play catchy, upbeat indie pop/rock with some folk
and chamber elements thrown in for the hell of it. They use a wide
variety of less traditional rock instruments including oboe, double
bass, wurlitzer, violin, cavaquinho, trumpet and flute.
They have just recorded their debut album in Leeders Farm Studios
in the UK and it will be out
in August - Ray McGinley from Teenage Fanclub guests on guitar and
it
was produced by Nick Brine who has produced artists including The
Beta Band, Ash, Teenage Fanclub and Super Furry Animals
