Sunny Black Treacle is used in savoury recipe & confectionery such as toffee and baked goods such as breads, cakes & biscuits. Sunny Black Treacle is a mixture of Brown Refiners Syrup, Corn Syrup, Maltose Syrup and Malt Extract Syrup. Putting it all together that creates a thick mixture which does not crystallize. Sunny Black Treacle is used chiefly in cooking as a form of sweetener or condiment and also in confectionary. Sunny Black Treacle has a distinctively strong flavour, and slightly bitter which is ideal for creating moist, flavoursome cakes and biscuits. It provides the strong sweet flavour necessary for many baking and confectionery recipes.
