UIM **2 stepper controller with CAN protocol UIM****4/****8 are miniature, intelligent stepper motor controllers equipped with CAN (control area network) bus for building up local motor network. By using these motor controllers, user can control multiple motors in real-time. To communicate with these motor controllers, user needs one CAN-RS**2 converter (UIM**0, sold separately). The UIM**0 CAN-RS**2 converter communicates with the user devices/controllers through RS**2 protocol using ASCII codes. Through this fashion, users can operate these controllers with minor or no knowledge about the stepper motor driving and CAN bus. The structure of the instructions (***** commands from user) is simple, straightforward and fault-tolerating. UIM****4/****8 can be mounted onto *2/*7/*6/**0 series stepper motors seamlessly through corresponding flanges. The thickness of these controllers is less than *4 millimeter. Enclosures of UIM****4/****8 are made of die-cast aluminum which provide a rugged and durable protection to the controller and improve the heat dissipation.
