Market: Preparation to sublimation transfer on:
  • Ceramic tiles ceramic products, Glass tiles and Glass products, Magnetic or Wood products, Jewelry, Metallic products, Stone, Carton products, Plastic products (with heat resistant plastic), Mirrors, and many other possibilities.
For the purpose to obtain optimum results we recommend the following preparatory actions:
  • Mix lacquer Pre-coat with hardener very carefully, the best in a paddle mixer (1 kg of lacquer + **0÷**0 g of hardener, please perform own tests).
  • Ready to use lacquer should be homogeneous, without air bubbles. If there are some air bubbles inside lacquer one ought to wait until bubbles disappear.
  • Remove grease from the surface before coating (it ought to be clean and dry). Extremely smooth surfaces it is necessary to get tarnished using sand-paper.
  • Lacquer can be applied using laminator, roller for acrylic paint or paint gun.
  • If the lacquer seems to be too dense, one can add small amount of water and stir the mixture carefully.
  • It is recommended to put two thin layers of lacquer. The second layer, of course, after drying of the first one.
  • Wear protective face mask when using paint gun. Using roller respiratory protection is not required if adequate general ventilation is provided. If the exposure limits are excided use respiratory equipment recommended or approved by appropriate local or state agency.
  • After drying of coated surface it is necessary to fix it (to strengthen, to cure) by holding at an appropriate high temperature, i.e. 6÷*0minutes at ****0°C. We recommend to perform own tests.
  • After fixing of coated surface it is necessary to wait *4 hours, in order to obtain the best parameters of the coated layer (for sublimation transfer).
  • A picture, which we are going to transfer on the suitable hard media (e.g. ceramic tile, hard plastic), have to be printed on the special transfer paper using sublimation dye ink on a plotter or desktop printer with piezoelectric printhead. Next, this picture can be transferred using printing press or other device making possible sublimation thermal transfer. Usually the temperature of the transfer fits in the interval from **0°C to **0°C, and the transfer time carries out from 1 to *0 minutes (please perform own tests).
