Our new obstacle detection sensor is suitable for AVG (Automatic Vehicle Guiding) and robotic applications. The detecting range and pattern can be programmed with PC and manually also. Different detecting ranges are available – 3 metres, 5 metres and *0 metres which are completely adjustable. Sensor can be programmed to ignore fixed obstructions appearing within the detecting zone. The scan area is up to **0º. The sensors are super small and compact in size. Operation principle is that semicircular field is scanned in small steps by LED or semiconductor laser and coordinates are calculated by measuring distance to object and its step angle and then it detects obstacle in setting area. It is low on power consumption, *4V **0ma, which allows it to be used on battery operated platforms.
