Description
Type ***1 Combined Electrode
Usage:
This electrode consists of a
sensitive glass electrode combined with a silver/silver chloride
electrode. It can be used to measure pH value of an aqueous
solution without other reference electrodes. Its measuring range:
pH 0 to *4, suitable temperature: 5 to *0℃, pH value
of cell zero-point: 7±0.5pH.
Operation and maintenance:
â‘´ whenever
a new electrode is used for the first time or used once again after
laying for a long time, soak the glass bulb in distilled water for
about 8 hrs.
⑵ when
measuring, pull out the rubber stopper situated on the upper part
of the electrode, take off the rubber cap, cover the electrode with
a protective casing of polyethylene so as the small hole on the
casing and the micro-hole of ceramic core on the glass tube are in
alignment.
⑶Immerse
the protective casing in distilled water wholly for cleaning before
measurement. Both the electrode bulb and micro-hole should be
immersed simultaneously in solution to be measured during
measurement. When another solution will be measured, rinse the
protective casing thoroughly with distilled water first to avoid
impurity being brought into solution.
â‘· The
internal filling solution of the reference electrode is a 3.3N
solution of KCl and saturated with AgCl. This solution should be
maintained over half a tube and may be filled up from the upper
orifice, which must be covered with the rubber stopper when not in
use.
⑸ when it
is used together with a pH meter, the pH value of cell zero-point
must be lain within the adjustable range of pH meter.
⑹ No
contamination on the glass bulb, if there is some, wipe it clean by
acetone, then soaked in distilled water for 8 hrs before
using.
⑺ It
cannot be used in non-aqueous solution and dehydrating
agent.
â‘» The
insulated part of plug should be kept clean and dry.
