Marine air-bag, made of synthetic-tire-cord sheets and rubber sheets, was invented in Shandong province, China in early 1980s. Its used to launch or haul out vessels as its first trying in marine industry. Comparing to traditional launching ways, like dry docks, mechanical slide way, ship launching airbag has the advantages in time saving, labor saving and cost saving.  Airbags are safe, reliable and flexible, as well as environment friendly.
They are also known as inflatable marine airbags, rolling airbags, lifting airbags, and salvage airbags. Â They are widely used in launching and landing ships, lifting and moving sunken ships, laying underwater pipes, building mandrels, etc.
With nearly two decades of rich experiences, Huanghai has developed its own name brand airbags and hold the patents for the airbag products (MLG-T, MLD-V, and MLG-H). Â

Construction:
The outer rubber layer can protect the synthetic cord layers and inner rubber layer against abrasion from sharp objects and corrosion from sea water and bad weather condition. Also it helps to guarantee good air tightness.
The synthetic tyre cord layers is the reinforcement layers for airbag. The layer numbers depends on the working pressure and could be from 3 to 12layers according to customers demand. This material is always used in tire industry and could hold extremely high pressure under terrible using environment.
The inner rubber layer is to keep air inserted into it. The thickness of inner rubber layer have an important influence on the air tightness. Huanghai brand air bags thickness of inner layer was increased and could be 100% no air leakage within 24 hours.
The necessary metal parts include tee-joint, valve, hose coupling, pressure gauge, pulling ring and other metal accessories. Â

MLG-T Type Airbag:
MLG-T is a high-strength plain surface airbag, which is widely used in moving large objects and marine salvage. Its made of outer rubber layer, synthetic-tyre-cord layers, inner rubber layer and metal end parts.  The inner rubber layer is made separately and inflated during the whole production, therefore the air tightness is guaranteed.Â
MLD-V type Airbag:
MLD-V airbag, which has a flute shaped protective layer in the middle of the body, is used in landing and launching for the ships with a V-shape bottom, like fishing boats and tugboats.  The sharp bottom may damage the regular MLD-T airbags easily; however, the protective layer can provide additional tolerance against cutting and scratch, therefore the ships can be landed or launched safely. The construction of the synthetic-tyre-cord layer and inner layer are same as those in MLG-T airbags.
