The Wallboarder' s Buddy is an ergonomically designed user friendly scoring and measuring tool capable of cutting a sheet of drywall to any length or width without the use of a measuring tape, utility knife, drywall square, chalk line or any of the ripping tools on the market. It features a dual sided pivoting cutter head that automatically extends and retracts the blades by means of the pivoting action. When not in use the standard utility knife blades are safely retracted inside the body of the tool. Blade storage is also provided on both ends of the cutter head body with each compartment holding three blades. An easy to understand scale provides more than one thousand measurements for scoring the various lengthsof manufactured gypsum wallboard. This product was thoroughly tested at the manufacturing facility with standard drop tests as well as being mounted on a custom machine the repeatedly pivoted and scored into a surface that imitated work on a construction site. It was eventually removed after what was calculated to be five years of daily use on a job site
