Description
To grade the bitumen based on viscosity BIS revised IS*******2specifications (Viscosity at *0°C) and as such there are four grades VG**0, VG**0, VG**0 & VG**0. A few qualification tests like specificgravity, water content, ductility, loss on heating &Farass breaking point were removed from IS:******2 as these tests do not have any relationship with the performance of the product.
Application
Viscosity Grade Bitumen is widely used in spraying applications such as surface-dressing andpaving in very cold climate. It is also used to manufactureBitumen emulsion and Modified Bitumen products.
