The VFD Analyzer is your key to positive results. It enables anyone with basic skills to troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives fast. Even if you don't know how to use a standard multi-meter, you can use this meter. You have a VFD that has stopped working. The first thing you do is open the cover, check for loose or disconnected wires, and check the fuses. No problems there, that means a component or module has probably failed. You call up and get the price for a new drive, $***7.*0, OUCH!! It would be less expensive for you to spend about an hour to repair this one. You pull out your VFD Analyzer from ***** and follow the directions in the easy to use troubleshooting guide. Open the cover and identify the bank of power modules (one for each phase of the power in and power out to the motor). Connect the VFD Analyzer test leads up to the first module and get readings. Hook it up the same way to other modules comparing results. It does not matter how you arrange the test leads, you do not have to know the module layout, just place them in the same place on each module tested. Use the VFD Analyzer to compare results from each module and identify the bad module(s). Use it the same way for other components as well. Remove the suspect component and test for confirmation. Order parts and fix the drive yourself. This job can be accomplished in about an hour.
