Compared with the **2, the **8 has its biggest advantage. It lies in that the **8 can match Airbags under the protocol of UDS while the **2 can only read code, erase code and do coding, and it cannot match airbags. Pls check the comparence in the following pictures. The icons of **8 are activated while the ones of **2 are not. The new models that the VW launches now or in the future, such as New Bora and Lavida, will all use UDS protocol. Besides, the VAS***4 in the market nearly doesn’t support UDS protocol.
