The compact Y8 linear array speaker is used to compose vertical
arrays. The passive dual-frequency design is adopted, with two 8"
drive units in dipole arrangement and a 1.4" compression drive unit
with wave converter installed in the center. The compact horn
geometry combined with the advanced bass reflector port design
provides full bandwidth ultra-low frequency output capability. This
high-performance linear array module provides controlled *0°
horizontal direction down to **0 Hz. Its mechanical and acoustic
design ensures a vertical array of up to twenty-four speakers with
a vertical tilt Angle that can be adjusted from 0° to *4° accuracy.
The speaker can be combined with a Y8 speaker or with a Y*2 and/or
Y-SUB speaker to form a vertical array. The speaker box adopts
waterproof plywood, impact-resistant and open-air protective paint
PCP (polyurea box protective paint). The front panel of the box is
protected by a sturdy metal mesh and lined with sound transparent
foam. There are handles on each side panel and two recessed handles
on the rear panel. The box is equipped with a three-point lifting
device.
