Silver based brazing material (cadmium free)
Silver based brazing materials are mainly used for brazing carbon steel, copper and copper alloys, nickel and nickel alloys. When brazing stainless steel, the presence of zinc can make the brazed joint prone to corrosion and cracking. Zinc free brazing materials can provide the joint with good mechanical properties. The working temperature for silver brazing joints is ***0℃to***0℃.
Silver based coated electrode (cadmium free)
Comet is a coated electrode developed by Umicore Corporation, which applies FH*0 flux onto a cadmium free silver based brazing material. The composition of the metal alloy part of this welding rod is equivalent to that of cadmium free silver based solder.
Phosphorus copper series brazing materials
Due to the self brazing function of phosphorus, there is no need to use additional flux when brazing purple copper and copper alloys using phosphorus copper series brazing materials. However, in sulfur-containing environments, the joints brazed with this brazing material are prone to corrosion. In addition, this series of brazing materials cannot brazing steel, nickel based alloys, and copper nickel alloys containing more than *0% nickel. The operating temperature for brazed joints is **5℃-***0℃.
Special brazing material zinc free silver based brazing material
BrazeTec ***0 and BrazeTec ***9 can be brazed in the atmosphere (using brazing flux) and in a protective atmosphere (without brazing). BrazeTec ***9 is often used in conjunction with brazing flux BrazeTec h to brazed stainless steel. To avoid silver evaporation during vacuum brazing of the above two brazing materials, the brazing temperature should not exceed **0℃; If brazing is carried out in a protective atmosphere furnace, the brazing temperature depends on the base material.
Sandwich solder brazing alloy
It can perfectly compensate for the difference in the coefficient of linear expansion between the blade and the base material during brazing of hard alloys, and avoid product cracking after brazing caused by this difference. BrazeTec *9/CU is particularly suitable for brazing products that require high shear strength.
Hardbrazing alloy
Solder is commonly used for brazing hard alloys and difficult to wet materials such as tungsten, molybdenum, and chromium. The tensile strength of brazed products mainly depends on the substrate material.
