General Informations
TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) is a general designation for a family of polyurethane plastics.
Technically, they are thermoplastic elastomers consisting of linear segmented block co-polymers composed of hard and soft segments.
By varying the arrangement of these hard and soft segments, an enormous variety of different TPU can be produced with many different properties, including elasticity, transparency, and resistance to oil, grease, and abrasion.
Properties of commercially available TPU include:
- high abrasion resistance
- low-temperature performance
- high shear strength
- high elasticity
- transparency
- oil and grease resistance
TPU has many applications, including automotive instrument panels, caster wheels, power tools, sporting goods, medical devices, drive belts, footwear, inflatable rafts, and a variety of extruded film, sheet and profile uses. TPU is also a popular material found in flexible outer cases of devices like mobile phones and keyboard protectors.
TPU is also a common material used in wire and cable jacketing, hose and tube, in adhesive and textile coating applications, and as an impact modifier of other polymers. It is also used in high-performance films, such as high impact resistant glass structures.

Our TPU injection grade products possess the advantage of fast forming, high toughness, good surface texture and excellent physical properties.
It is normally in the form of uniform transparent natural color granule. There are also super crystal clear and transparent products that can be supplied.
These injection grade TPU materials can be used to produce shoes, automotive interior parts, sealing rings, mechanical accessories, industrial casters, sports equipment accessories and etc.
