The KH**4 titanium dioxide Claus catalyst is a pure titanium dioxide - based special sulfur recovery catalyst,
suitable for Claus units in natural gas processing plants, refineries, and coking plants. This catalyst is particularly
suitable for use in the first converter to achieve high conversion rates of COS and CS2. Such ultra - high conversion
rates are especially important for Claus plants with tail - gas treatment units (such as selective oxidation units and
sub - dew - point systems) that may not completely convert COS and CS2. Due to its high mesopore and macropore
porosity, high - activity surface area, excellent thermal stability, and superior physical strength, it can achieve
excellent conversion of H2S/SO2, COS, and CS2. In the second and third converters, due to its long - term
resistance to sulfate poisoning and its ability to maintain high H2S/SO2 conversion rates, it helps to extend
service life and improve performance. The uniqueness of this catalyst also lies in the developed mesopore and
macropore structures in its pure titanium dioxide extrudates, without the need for calcium sulfate binders. This
structure allows reactants to diffuse at a high rate into the catalyst pellets and the porous structure of the active
material, and enables reaction products to diffuse out of the porous structure at a high rate.
