La description

The single direction thrust ball bearings are separable. The bearings consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball-and-cage assembly. They are quite easy to mount and demount. The ring that tight fits with the shaft is called shaft washer and the one having clearance with the shaft is called housing washer. The single direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads in one direction and not be subjected to any radial load and thus locate a shaft axially in one direction.
Because of the radial displacement between the shaft and housing, the limiting speed is low. When the shaft does not coincide with the bearing housing hole axes or the bearing binding face is not vertical with the axes, the bearings is likely to be damaged. In this situation，you can choose the thrust ball bearing with spherical housing washer to compensate for the angular misalignment between the shaft and bearing box.
