Observation Buoy (OB)is a floating platform with capacity to carry a suite of environmental sensors. Observation Buoy can be moored to bottom or to a dock in quiet waters. Buoysaver ever supplied this Subsea Real-time Observation Buoy for Institute of Oceanology of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

This type of Observation Buoy plays an excellent role of floating platform for offshore working applications, strong and solid construction and most convenient for operations.


General Surface Buoys used for Hong Kong Yacht Dock, Cylindrical Buoy

High performance General Surface Support Buoys were supplied for Hong Kong Yacht Docks under good working conditions for a few more years, this type of Buoy is manufactured from a perfect polyethylene thermolaminated foam core encapsulated within a self-colored polyurethane outer skin. Used extensively in single point mooring (SPM) systems, one of the popular support buoys are Cylindrical Buoy.

Characteristics:
1. Removable clevis plate/eye. 

2. Central tension member designed to suit the client's Safe Working Load.

Advantageous Features:
1. Closed cell resilient foam core, unsinkable design. 
General Surface Support Buoys are made with highest quality closed-cell PE/EVA foam. This resilient foam makes the buoys self fendering with high absorptioin capacity. Even the skin was punctured, it is also unsinkable without absorbing water. 

2. Tough nylon filament reinforced polyurethane skin.
General Surface Support Buoys skin is constructed of polyurethane elastomer which is reinforced with nylon filament, this poly urethane skin is the unique elastomer specifically applied for offshore applications.

3. Steel work and end assembly.
Through central steel tube with longitudinal gussets and external load distribution flanges at each end, epoxy coated or hot-dipped galvanized, are encased in a closed-cell urethane foam central body. Optional pad eye, clevis eye, swivel, chain lcking plat, single locking pin end fitting are available.
