Cosmetics and Personal Care CMC is used in several different personal care applications. It is used in various cosmetic products, where its good binding, thickening and stabilising properties are utilised. CMC is mainly used to thicken and to stabilise cosmetics but due to its polymeric structure that acts as film forming agent, CMC is also used to improve moisturising effects.

In personal care products, CMC has the characters of emulsification、thickening、homogenate and protective colloid, and in solid floured cream production, it has the effects of dispersant、suspension and stabilization, it is one of the best coagent of compounding scour、shampoo、paste shampoo、cream rinse and skin care products.
