Materials: Stainless steel(**6 **4) Technical parameters and fire arresting mechanism are deseribed with expe_rimental results for the high efficiency sintered stainless steel fire arresting tube developed for the use in acetylene welding as a new dry type fire arrestor. Effects of various factors on the fire arresting perform ance are discussed. The result shows that this nowly-developed tube fire_arrestor is more safe and reliable in operation in cumparison with other similar products available.
