Palm oil is a form of edible vegetable oil obtained from the fruit of the Oil palm tree. The oil palm is a tropical palm tree originally from West Africa. Palm kernel oil made from the seeds is used as cooking oil, to make margarine and is a component of some processed foods. Palm oil is high in olefins, a potentially valuable chemical group that can be processed into many non-food products as well. Palm oil has the largest slice of the world vegetable oil market - *8%, followed by soybean oil. Our Virgin Red Palm Oil is **0% pure and natural without any coloring or additives. It is unrefined - retaining its highly rich content of vitamin A and E, and a natural antioxidant. Red Palm Oil is made from native palms using traditional and organic methods. The palm fruits are selected from local farmers who grow the fruits using natural methods. In cosmetics and personal care products, Palm Oil ingredient is used in balms, body butters and stick formulations, where rigidity is required. When used in cold process soap making, it results in a hard bar when used in combination with other oils such as coconutoil and olive oil.
