The moisture-responsive technology1Â of IV***0â„¢ reacts in the presence of moisture or water by removing it from underneath the dressing, maintaining optimum conditions for the IV incision site.
At the same time, IV***0 acts as a bacterial and viral barrier**3,6. Â This is enhanced by the grid-pattern adhesive, which increases the moisture-responsive properties of the dressing.
Why is the moisture-responsive property so important in an IV dressing?
Unlike a wound which requires a moist environment to heal, an IV site needs to be moisture-free. This reduces the risk of bacterial proliferation, and in turn, helps the dressing stay in place.
