Human neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin(NGAL) detection

Human neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL), also known
as Lipocalin*2, is a new member of the lipid transporter family,
which is a biomarker of early renal function damage. NGAL not only
exists in neutrophils, but also in specific epithelial cells. For
example, in the process of ischemic and toxic renal injury, NGAL in
renal tubular epithelial cells will increase significantly. In the
first two hours, NGAL level in urine and blood will increase
significantly. Therefore, NGAL is one of the most effective
biomarkers for the diagnosis of acute renal injury. There are also
studies that showed that the serum NGAL concentration of patients
with angina and acute myocardial infarction increased.
The reagent is used for quantitative determination of human
neutrophil gelatinase related lipocalin in human plasma or urine in
vitro.
Principle:
Based on the principle of latex immunoturbidimetry, the human
neutrophil gelatinase related lipocalin in the sample are combined
with the anti human neutrophil gelatinase related lipocalin in the
reagent to form an insoluble immune complex, which makes the
reaction solution turbid. The change of turbidity is detected at
the wavelength of **0nm. Its turbidity is directly proportional to
the concentration of human neutrophil gelatinase related lipocalin
in the sample.
Storage conditions and validity
1. The reagent can be kept stable for *2 months under sealed and
dark conditions at **8 ℃, and can not be frozen.
